    This game is on my radar since last year. You seem to like it a lot. How many time it took you to beat it ? I miss rpg maker games with some twist and turn like that 😁

      I really enjoyed it! It took me about 28 hours to get through this playthrough according to the in-game timer, though I was stopping a lot and voicing every line and checking EVERYWHERE for extra dialogue, could probably shave a solid 4 or so hours off of that if I was playing alone and 6 hours if I wasn't so intent on getting every extra bit of dialogue. This was a really good premise for a game that fulfilled it very, very strongly!

    thinking about it its actually funny how this game managed to replicate both mario and dk's platformer feel, the tight knitted, think every jump opportunistic mario. and basically, high stakes momentum based donkey kong. this game is not real i refuse to believe it

    I think the best thing about the Falcon Punch is the fact that the only time it's been majorly rebalanced... is to give Falcon the ability to turn around when he uses it, for even MORE damage. The crowd is at the edge of their seats. The opponent thinks they've caught him off guard. But then he whips right around and reveals he NEVER lost control.

    7:45 technically crash was the reason it failed because in crash 4 we after we defeat (futere cortex) we see a cutsene were cortex does the thing but we see crash pull an important piece wich partillyade it fail

    There's also an Touhou SRPG Fantasy Maiden Wars with the same design philosophy, especially from its second entry onwards. Ludicously powerful enemies mixed with ludicrously powerful protagonists. Most bosses have more than one healthbar, with the end game bosses regularly having four or five. Bosses can also have absurd abilities, like to guarantee crits (Hina), boost evasion to insane levels (Aya), *negate healing* (Yuyuko). The final boss has the abillity to reduce damage by 700 every hit, to use every skill (spirit) your team has access to, to increase graze damage, to be completely invincible for 5 turns while launching massive AoE attacks that can't be countered, to neegate all damage that is not from range 1, and finally to _get an additional turn for every teammate in her danmaku field_ effectively enabling her to attack 6+ times per turn if you're trying to capture her spell card. And all of that only in the second game out of 4 However, you also get a slew of extremely powerful player characters. For example, a ton of player characters has access to alert or sense which negates the next enemy attack. You can also do support defense to reduce damage taken. Also, those healthabrs aren't that big. They usually go down in a turn or two

    I genuinely love Waluigi because of how he's portrayed, his overall story, his growth, and of course the memes. I genuinely wisb Nintendo would give him the time of day and put him in a mainline game or at the very least put him in his own game! Modern Waluigi has potential, no doubt about it.     I'm sorry but the background footage of a video about intended game design featuring a glitch constantly is throwing me off. I get it's just a funny haha glitch but I feel like this is the one kind of video where you should stick with regular footage. Was having Flavio follow Mario around after chapter 5 really that important for a video about the game's immersive worlds and storytelling? I agree the game does a fantastic job making its environments feel like living, breathing worlds but from this video alone, having what is essentially a programming error on screen at all times for no reason takes me right out of it and reminds me that no, this isn't a living, breathing world. this is a program and nothing in it is real. Of course I know that but with a good piece of media it shouldn't feel like it. That makes it hard to believe what you're saying, even though I essentially agree with what you're saying throughout the video.

    Thanks for covering this. It would have been nice if Phantasy Star Online had continued the original series' story and premise. I enjoyed the MMO aspects of PSO, but there's no real story this version of Phantasy Star which, for me, was a disastrous decision and makes it practically unplayable.

    Great video, but I have a question. you’ve made so many analysis’s on donkey kong, do you think the dk characters were handled well in the Mario movie?

      I like how Donkey Kong was portrayed. DK's always been laid-back but ultimately rising to the occasion, with some focus on family and legacy tossed in there with his relationship to Cranky. It's a very DKC1 interpretation of Donkey Kong as a character, but I think it's a fine one and I'm a person who freaked out because he did the roll from DKC, so I was always destined to really enjoy the character. I also really like the jungle kingdom as a backdrop, as while it's not exactly my preferred interpretation of Donkey Kong Island, it does harken back to a LOT of the design principles that DKC Returns introduced and feels very much like a large-scale version of the Rare-era Kongs. Cranky I don't care for in the movie. I like his relationship with DK, I love how he animates, but he's more of a sarcastic wise guy in the film rather than an impossible to please, jaded glory-seeker. I think his role is right, I think how both Mario and DK win him over through the film is handled properly, but his point of motivation comes from an inherent self-importance rather than lashing out at everyone around him and holding utterly impossible expectations. I don't need Cranky to break the fourth wall in every appearance, but dude ain't cranky enough to be Cranky!

    As time goes on, you begin to feel Bowser does respect Mario as his nemesis, and cares for Peach. Though, they're all frenemies in more current years. He's a bad guy, but he's not purely evil just to outright kill anyone. Mario and Peach, in a way, motivates Bowser to be bigger and badder. Always upping his game. He's become so much more fleshed out as a character, that it's not too surprising, and even inspiring, to see the koopa king in a more heroic, or even anti-heroic, role.

    In my experience with DQ5, I spent more than a little too much time grinding... So the time between wedding and childbirth was like... 4 days. It was funny. I've played the two versions of the game, and I've only ever chosen Bianca.

    Solaris is a victim. Think about it from it's point of view: Lead by the death of one person by natural causes, the people who once depended on you for hope betray you, steal you away from your quiet existence on the mantle and put you through excruciating test's and experiments that went against everything they once believed in just to that one person back. And in your final, hate-fueled moments, the human's attempt to play god split's you in twain. Two empty husks each a half of a greater whole, sealed away both apart and demonized by the surviving traitors for years onwards. You'd be upset as well.

    This game surprisingly themes around the term “hope”. From Koops reuniting with his father whom he thought died 10 years ago to bobbery suffering from depression because of his wife died without having him besides her, at the time he was busy sailing outside and after receiving the letter of his deceased wife he was able to regain his motivation to do what he loves: sailing the seas. At last, everyone cheering at Mario when everything became hopeless after shadow queen became invincible. Most importantly: after sticker star and color splash everyone thought paper mario will never be like it was used to be, until Nintendo dropped the trailer of TTYD remake which nobody thought was possible just a short while ago. Honestly TTYD perfectly empathizes hope, whether intentionally or accidentally. Everytime I felt hopeless, this game always comes across my mind. It’s a major reason why TTYD is still one of my favorite game of all time. Like Andy Dufresne from Shawshank Redemption said: hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies
